Chinese Restaurant - 열빈

One of the best spots to grab a cheap, delicious dinner nearby is 열빈. It is one of my favorite places.

I've had meal after great meal here. They do a lot of delivery orders, so you can usually eat by yourself in peace. Or, you can bring all your friends and not worry about having enough seats.

오무라이스. Omuraiseu - rice omelet.

새우 볶음밥. Saewoo bokkeumbap - Shrimp fried rice.

They have an English speaking delivery driver (Mr. Bae -wearing glasses in the photo), so you still have a chance of getting your food even if your Korean is horrible. 031-484-1222

Raisin Water

Raisin water doesn't taste like raisins. It is not at all sweet. The flavor reminds me of the last drops of milk remaining after you eat a bowl of cheerios.

Tonight, I had dinner with two co-workers. One of them ordered a particularly spicy version of a dish called 추어탕 (Chua Tang). It is a soup made from a special type of loach fish.

Koreans will tell you that spicy food makes their body feel good, in spite of having the appearance of being tortured.

First, the glasses came off. Then came the sweat. After wiping his brow, he revealed streaming tears. Then came the groaning. It was entertaining to watch from the other side of the table, but I don't get it at all. ^^
